The idea for The Lucky Pony came to life when Jon’s extensive background in bartending met Lindsay’s two decades of user experience strategy. Together, they crafted a mobile bartending service designed to delight any event with a sophisticated and personalized touch. After searching for the perfect converted bar trailer, they found one they had long admired. In a stroke of luck, the owner decided to sell, and The Lucky Pony was born.

Co-Founder
Born and raised in Poway, San Diego, Jon is the cocktail program architect behind The Lucky Pony. With 15+ years behind the bar at some of San Diego's most acclaimed establishments including Consortium Holdings, and The Waterfront Group, he brings the kind of expertise you'd expect at a high-end restaurant, to your event.
He personally curates every seasonal menu and is often on-site to make sure the experience exceeds expectations.
Lindsay
Co-Founder
Born and raised in Point Loma, San Diego, Lindsay is the experience architect behind The Lucky Pony. After two decades designing user experiences for enterprise brands like Hyundai, Microsoft, Intuit, Ballast Point she applied the same design thinking to events. Every touchpoint at a Lucky Pony event is intentional: the bar setup, the menu presentation, the guest flow.
With an eye for design, Lindsay is the creative director behind all of The Lucky Pony’s marketing.

Due to California liquor laws, we cannot purchase alcohol on our behalf. However the process is super easy, we provide an online link for you to purchase then we do the rest, including pickup & delivery to your event.

A non-refundable 25% deposit is due at booking to reserve your date, and the remainder is due 30 days before the event.

Yes, a minimum of $1,000 a booking, Friday - Sunday

We're based in Rancho San Diego and offer free travel within 30 miles. Beyond that, it's $2/mile each way.

We serve all types of events: weddings, corporate parties, real estate open houses, birthdays, showers, holiday gatherings, brand partnership or influencer events and more. If there's a reason to celebrate, we’ll be there!

Yes, we carry general liability and liquor liability insurance.

We need room to haul it by truck, drop off and maneuver our truck out. The trailer is 8’ Tall X 9’ Length X 6.5’ Wide.

Yes, Lucky, our vintage horse trailer, features two keg taps to serve your favorite beers, cider, kombucha or seltzers.

Yes, if your venue has a bar, choose our “Just the Crew” option. For venues without a bar, our satellite bar Goldy is a great choice.

Absolutely! Let us know your preferred recipe in advance, and we’ll make sure to gather all the necessary ingredients.

Many of our curated cocktails make excellent mocktails, and we can adjust the alcohol shopping list accordingly.
